The concerts will be live on Zoom. We have done all we can to achieve the best possible audio experience but we can only work within the bounds of the technology available at present. We advise using headphones.

Francesco Petreni - percussion, Andrea Mucciarelli - guitar, Ferruccio Spinetti - double bass
Drummer, percussionist and composer, Francesco Petreni has played with many musicians, among whom are Marc Johnson, Jonny Griffin, Palle Danielsson, Mal Waldron, Eddie Henderson, Enrico Rava, Tony Scott, Michael Blake, Avishai Cohen.
He is on more than seventy recordings also with Enrico Pieranunzi trio, Mark Turner, David Binney, Larry Grenadier, Eddie Wied, Paolo Fresu, Stefano Bollani, Kim Prevost, Bill Solley,
and brasilian music with Marisa Monte, Ivan Lins, Chico Buarque, Hamilton De Holanda, Vanessa Da Mata, Maria Gadu etc, participating in International Festivals around the world including concerts in Cuba and Brazil.
Andrea Mucciarelli plays in a duo with singer/songwriter Nada Malanima that has played in many concerts around Italy and for Italian radio and tv shows. He is part of the prestigious Barga Jazz Ensemble directed by M° Bruno Tommaso. He also plays with the Matteo Addabbo Organ trio since 2014, recording and travelling around Europe.
Ferruccio Spinetti has been part of Avion Travel, a very important and famous italian ensemble, since 1990,. He has also played with Rita Marcotulli, Mal Waldron, Arto Lindsay, Fabrizio Bosso, Paolo Fresu, Ivan Lins (he is featured on the album "Inventario" and was nominated for 2014 Latin Grammy Award), Marisa Monte, Chico Buarque, Vanessa Da Mata etc. Since 2004 he played in the Stefano Bollani quintet, and with Petra Magoni in Musica Nuda performing more than 1500 concerts around the world and recording 11 CDs.

Rob Bargad - piano Joris Teepe - bass
Rob Bargad is a pianist, Hammond organist, vocalist, songwriter, arranger, producer and educator from Boston. After studying with Prof. Kenny Barron at Rutgers University for 3 years,Rob moved to New York City in 1984, where he lived for 20 years. In that time he played, toured and/or recorded with such Jazz luminaries as Lionel Hampton, Little Jimmy Scott, Dakota Staton, Jimmy Cobb's Mobb, Roy Hargrove, Peter Bernstein, Harper Brothers, Kevin Mahogany and more. From 1990-2000 Rob was pianist in the Nat Adderley Quintet, touring the USA, Europe and Japan and recording 8 CDs.
Rob’s original songs have been recorded both by him and other artists on several CDs, and used in several films. His Pop Music arranging/producing credits include CDs for the Soul-Funk-Rock band, FLOZELL, “TRUTH” and for nmmk. (Natalie Krainer) “WOS MOCHT SCHON AUS.” Rob’s latest Jazz projects are with REUNION 7tet, featuring Dave Schumacher, Jerry Weldon, Joe Magnarelli, Jason Brown, Daniel Sadownick and Mike Karn, and RCB New Trio, featuring Philipp Zarfl, bass, and Mario Gonzi, drums.
He has recorded CDs as leader and sideman - on both piano and Hammond organ - for labels such as: Fantasy, Criss Cross, Alfa Jazz, Sunnyside, Sweet Basil, Chesky, Challenge, Central Station and his own label, Barnette.
Joris Teepe is a bassist from Amsterdam and has been living in New York since 1992. He has been, and still is, working with many of the great names in Jazz such as Benny Golson, Rashied Ali, Barry Harris, Bobby Watson, Sonny Fortune, Tom Harrell, Chris Potter, Billy Hart and Randy Brecker. His longest stint was with Rashied Ali (John Coltrane’s last drummer), with whom he recorded 4 CDs and toured the world for 9 years.
Joris has been leading his own groups for 25 years and has recorded 17 CD’s as a leader. His latest co-led trio release with drummer John Engels and saxophonist Benjamin Herman is very successful. He has composed over 100 originals, including pieces for Symphony Orchestra & Small Jazz Group and for Symphony Orchestra, Big Band & Choir. He leads his own Big Band in New York, performing exclusively his own music. He also performs his own repertoire as a guest soloist with local Big Bands.
One of his latest projects is the “Trio of Liberty” co-led by Don Braden. This trio marks their 25th year of musical cooperation . Down Beat selected their CD “conversations” as CD of the year 2017.
Another new project is “In the Spirit of Rashied Ali” and the Book, which includes a CD, was nominated for an Edison (Dutch Grammy).
In 2004 Joris Teepe has been nominated for the Bird Award at the North Sea Jazz Festival in the category “Artist deserving wider recognition”.

Tardo Hammer, piano
Pianist Richard "Tardo" Hammer was born in 1958 in Queens, N.Y. At age 5, Hammer began playing piano, and he went on to explore the clarinet and guitar before coming back to the piano by the time he was 13.
As a teenager, Hammer was an avid listener to recorded jazz, devouring a wide variety of work by Charlie Parker, Miles Davis, Errol Garner, Bill Evans, Teddy Wilson, John Coltrane and others. By age 15, he'd formed his own sextet.
After high school, Hammer moved to New York and began working professionally. By the '80s, he had become a regular in clubs around town, and began working with such artists as Bill Hardman, Junior Cook, Lionel Hampton, Lou Donaldson and the Art Farmer-Clifford Jordan Quintet. Hammer made his recording debut alongside Al Cohn and Mel Lewis in trumpeter Al Porcino's big band.
He has been a choice accompanist for jazz vocalists including Annie Ross, Earl Coleman, David Allyn, Abbey Lincoln, Teri Thornton, Marion Cowings and Jon Hendricks.
Since the 1990s, Hammer has been performing in clubs and festivals in Europe, Japan and the U.S. In 1999, Hammer began making trio recordings as a leader.. His sixth and most recent album is Swinging on a Star, recorded for Cellar Live. He appears as a sideman on CDs by Warren Vache, Charles Davis, Grant Stewart and many others.

Will Barry - piano, Jim Gold - alto sax
Will Barry is a pianist, drummer and percussionist from London who graduated from the Royal Academy of Music in 2016. He is part of numerous projects internationally, most prominently touring with Phronesis bassist Jasper Høiby’s group ‘Fellow Creatures’ in Turkey, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Denmark, Holland and also extensively in the UK. In the last few years Will has performed at the North Sea, Love Supreme, Green Hours and Umbria Jazz Festivals.
Whilst living in Spain, Will appeared alongside Mario Rossy, Madison McFerrin and Perico Sambeat as well as Cuban musicians Julio Montalvo, Yoel Paez and Issac Delgado Jr, performing in Barcelona, Alicante and Madrid and recording at Berklee College of Music in Valencia. Chucho Valdés (Irakere) described his playing as "sensitive and fluid - a beautiful sound”.
Jim Gold is a London-based saxophonist and bandleader. He has performed at Ronnie Scott’s with his own quartet, Billy Cobham with The Guy Barker Big Band, The Skelton/Skinner Allstars Big Band, The Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Orchestra, The Callum Au Big Band, and The National Youth Jazz Orchestra, in which he played lead alto. He has also appeared in Jasper Høiby's 'Fellow Creatures', Brandon Allen’s sextet, Gareth Lockrane’s Big Band, Alan Barnes' '+11', Keith Tippett’s Octet, and Pete Long’s ‘Jazz at the Philharmonic’.
In 2012, he joined NYJO, and held the lead alto chair with the band from 2015-2017, appearing at the BBC Proms, and on BBC’s The One Show and The Today Programme on Radio 4. He was described as being amongst 'the pick of the consistently excellent bunch' in Jack Massarik’s review of NYJO’s album ‘The Change’ in Jazzwise, and praised for his 'fine solos' in the Evening Standard.
Throughout 2013 Jim could be heard regularly opening the jam session at Charlie Wright’s with Rob Luft, appearing alongside Steve Fishwick, Sammy Mayne, and Martin Speake. Whilst studying Philosophy, Politics, and Economics at University College, Oxford, he directed the Oxford University Big Band, organising concerts featuring Atlantic Records artist Kwabs and Mornington Lockett. His writing has been featured on BBC Radio 3's Jazz Now.
