Solo Concerts with some of the finest artists in Jazz today

Each concert will be 30 minutes (approx) and will be followed by a Q&A session with the performing artist(s).

The concerts will be live on Zoom. We have done all we can to achieve the best possible audio experience but we can only work within the bounds of the technology available at present. We advise using headphones.

Booking will close 60 minutes before the start of concert to allow time to process payments and send out the meeting ID and password. With the increased amount of traffic in cyberspace at this time some replies are being delayed. To ensure that you receive your meeting ID and password in time please book as far in advance as possible. The meeting ID will be sent to you approximately 1 hour before the concert starts.

Guillermo Rozenthuler - voice and guitar

Guillermo is a vocal improviser, singer guitarist and educator from Argentina based in the UK. He's recently followed his lifelong passion for spontaneous music-making and conceived Anthropos: Songs of Humanity, an a cappella vocal improvisation ensemble alongside 5 other European singers. He has worked extensively as a Latin Jazz vocalist with an interest in South American repertoire and rhythms, and currently sings with three leading Tango ensembles: the London Tango Orchestra, Sexteto Cristal and Cuarteto Rotterdam.

John Donegan - piano

John Donegan, UK based and originally from Cork, is a modern jazz pianist and composer.  His music has been featured on the BBC, Jazz FM, RTE and independent radio stations in UK and Ireland.

He has performed with a variety of UK, Irish and International artists, including Art Blakey, Art Farmer, Barney Kessel and Greg Abate, Louis Stewart and many more.

John’s major influences have been the likes of Bill Evans, Kenny Barron, Wynton Kelly, Bud Powell, Chic Corea  and Keith Jarrett.

He has also performed in France, Spain and Portugal and at Birdland in New York.

John more recently composed a suite of 21 contemporary pieces which have been released as 2 CDs, Siamsa, Vol 1 & 2. Recent review in Musicians Union Magazine “An intriguing combination of classic bebop laced with Irish folk melody, this album from pianist John and his saxophonist friend Tommaso Starace is full of sublime lyrical moments”

Throughout Lockdown, John  has written and arranged 18 new compositions which will comprise of two albums of new material for the Sextet. He has also written eight new pieces for Volume 3 of Siamsa and a suite to commemorate all those who lost their lives in the pandemic called the Elegy Suite. The plan is to record this material once restrictions are lifted.

John’s concert for Global Music Foundation will include some Standards, Original Jazz pieces and Some pieces form the Siamsa series.

Frank Harrison - piano

Frank Harrison took up the piano at 11, and began playing gigs when he was 15. After taking up a scholarship at Berklee School Of Music, Boston, he returned to the UK and joined Gilad Atzmon’s band. In 2000 they started the Orient House Ensemble, with whom Frank has recorded seven albums, including BBC Jazz Album Of The Year 2003, Exile. The band regularly tours Europe, playing at major Jazz and World music festivals. Frank has also performed with Peter King, Julian Arguelles, Julian Siegel, Don Weller, Alan Barnes, John Etheridge, Scott Hamilton and Iain Ballamy.

In 2006 Frank formed a trio with drummer Stephen Keogh and bassist Aidan O’Donnell. Their debut album, First Light, launched to critical acclaim and they have since toured regularly in Europe and the Far East, as well as collaborating with special guests such as Louis Stewart and Tina May.

Frank's latest trio, formed in 2013, features Dave Whitford (Bill Frisell, John Taylor, Kenny Wheeler) on bass and Enzo Zirilli (Bob Mintzer, Tom Harrell, Enrico Pieranunzi) on drums. They have released four albums and regularly tour the UK and overseas.
