SUNDAY JULY 19

9.00 PM PAR | 8.00 PM LON | 3.00 PM NY | 12.00PM LA

TICKET PRICE €10.00 / £10.00 / $13.00

Australian harpist and vocalist Tara Minton is a truly unique jazz artist. Hailing from Melbourne, she relocated to London in 2011 seeking to explore the diverse British jazz scene and define her sound within it. Devoutly "team Ashby", Tara plays the harp in a way that defies the fluffy textural stereotype, expressing a rich melodic and harmonic language with influences from Monk, John Taylor and vocal/instrumentalists Esperanza Spalding and Liane Carroll.

Her new album, "Please Do Not Ignore The Mermaid" (to be released in October this year on Lateralize Records) explores the full potential of the harp as a jazz ensemble instrument and features long time friends and collaborators Ed Babar and Phil Merriman, David Ingamells and Tommaso Starace.

Ed Babar joins Tara tonight on double bass with an intimate collection of duets.
