During the 80’s he toured and recorded with the legendary Irish guitarist Louis Stewart then went on to join the band of the late great altoist Peter King. He became the drummer of choice for many visiting jazz artists to Europe, including Charles McPherson, Art Farmer, Harold Land, and many others. Over the years he has played and recorded with expansive array of the great names in jazz including Eddie Lockjaw Davis, Jimmy Witherspoon, Harry Sweets Edison, Johnny Griffin and Benny Carter, and later with Brad Mehldau, Bill Charlap, Mark Turner, Larry Willis, Jeremy Pelt, Rene Marie, Edward Simon and Peter Bernstein etc.
In recent years he has been touring and recording with the Bruce Barth Trio, Jerry Bergonzi, Eddie Henderson Quartet, Charles McPherson Quartet and more.
He is a founder/director of Global Music Foundation; an organisation that aims to encourage people everywhere to enjoy and learn about music and the arts, through organising and supporting seminars, jazz and world music courses, workshops and performances around the world. Since 2005 GMF has staged and run over 50 events in Italy, UK, Ireland, China, Croatia, Germany and Spain and brings the experience of high quality music making to many people.
