Scott Hamilton appeared in the mid-'70s fully formed with an appealing swing style on tenor (mixing together Zoot Sims and Ben Webster), and he caused a sensation, for few other young players during the fusion era were exploring pre-bop jazz at his high level. Hamilton played with Benny Goodman in the late '70s. He is known for his work with Warren Vache, Ruby Braff, Rosemary Clooney, the Concord Jazz All-Stars and George Wein's Newport Jazz Festival All-Stars. He now leads his own quartet and is one of the most sought after headliners in the world.

Eddie Henderson, continues to be one of the most original trumpet players in jazz today. At 79 years old he remains very much at the height of his musical prowess, and continues to produce music on a par with the greatest trumpet players in the history of jazz. Louis Armstrong gave Eddie his first trumpet lessons at age 9. He first got worldwide recognition for his work with Herbie Hancock's Mwandishi group in the early '70s. Since then he has played with huge array of the greatest names in Jazz including Art Blakey, Elvin Jones, Johnny Griffin, Slide Hampton, McCoy Tyner, Benny Golson, Max Roach, Jackie McClean, Dexter Gordon, Roy Haynes, Joe Henderson and more.
